Start getting those chops back in shape!

Our UMC Grace Brass Ensemble starts back up with rehearsals in a couple of weeks (August 25, 2016). Here’s some beautiful music by Christian trumpet player, Phil Driscoll, to inspire us to get our chops back in gear!

Improved sheet music for The Washington Post March

UMC Grace BrassBrass/Woodwinds:

Below are download links for pdf copies of a new and improved version of Washington Post March that is much more legible than previous copies we were using. Please print out your part to work on at home this week. I’ll also bring paper copies to rehearsals this Thursday (2 JUL, 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.) and Saturday (4 JUL, 9 – 10:00 a.m.).

You’ll note that there is now a 4-bar rest at the beginning of all parts. I have generated a 4-bar percussion track intro that we’ll use to accompany us on Sunday. You can listen to the updated audio tracks for The Washington Post March (and all our other music) at http://umcgracebrass.org/performances/ .

Please make every effort to attend both our Thursday and Saturday rehearsals.

I will also be testing out the audio tracks and working on my parts 7:30 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, 30 JUN, in the Sanctuary. You are welcome to join me to work on your parts as well along with the accompaniment tracks.

Please put in the effort this work to master your parts prior to our final rehearsals. This is our last performance for the summer, so let’s finish strong and be a blessing to all this Sunday!
